Peachoo+Krejberg S/S 2011

A regular on the calendar since 2004, Peachoo+Krejberg were at ANDAM’s expense this year. After the prize-winner refused to take the slot proposed by the federation, and having noticed that he was taking a break during their show, the brand’s designers decided to cancel their show altogether, in favor of a week-long presentation.

Peachoo Datwani and Roy Krejberg, she Indian and he Swedish, are as culturally opposed as you can get. However, united by the same passion for textiles, they create delightfully unstructured outfits where the construction of the garment comes back as a filigree to avoid the pitfall of garment-torchons. Their Spring/Summer 2011 collection is a fine continuation of this, and I was delighted to be able to see the accessories up close, such as this metal collar.

It’s a pity that Paris was deprived of what could have been an interesting show by the lack of savoir-vivre of some people. And we won’t even mention the controversy surrounding the winner.
