A-POC ABLE Issey Miyake will participate for the first time in 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, from June 10 to 12, 2026. At Gallery 2112, the House is presenting the second edition of the O Series portable lamp collection, which stems from the TYPE-XIII Atelier Oï project.
Developed in collaboration with the Swiss studio atelier oï and the Japanese manufacturer Ambientec, the project builds on the A-POC research focused on the piece of fabric. It combines a piece of cloth and a piece of wire to bring textile logic into lighting design.
The lamp sits on an oval wire frame and features a Steam Stretch shade made of recycled polyester. This technique incorporates the design right from the weaving stage; when heated, the fabric shrinks, revealing a three-dimensional pleated texture.
The new collection explores two themes, Wood and Stone, featuring fabrics that evoke the textures of wood and stone. The light can be adjusted to four different levels, ranging from a warm glow to a white light similar to daylight.
