Over sixty designers presented their collections for Spring/Summer 2015. And Russian designers seem to be daring enough to let loose a little more. In our top 3 this season, we of course find the romantic woman, but she’s more original and graphic at Dasha Gauser with a collection dedicated to the heroes of the film “The Penguins of Madagascar”. At Tegin, she becomes enigmatic in dresses and ensembles with neutral tones and beaded edges. At PIROSMANI By Jenya Malygina, she becomes a femme fatale. We particularly like the “dark romantic” aspect of the destructured dresses, with their play on transparency and faded leather jackets created for both men and women. This road to originality is the main path taken by CONTRFASHION, an avant-garde collective bringing together designers who stand out from the crowd, and showcasing pieces that are as spectacular as ever. This creativity is also reflected in emerging designers such as O75 -Ohseventyfive- and its men’s collection based on the gothic-punk-red spirit, not forgetting creepy make-up. For CAP AMERICA, it’s all about shapes and colors. Designer Olga Shurigina, who founded her label in 2013, has already received several awards and is said to have also joined Ermanno Scervino’s studio. OFERA, the ready-to-wear label of the famous Russian Miss Universe, singer and TV presenter Oksana Fedorova, will be showing for the first time. Finally, one of the highlights of this fashion week was the presence of supermodel Natalia Vodianova, who created a capsule collection with the ZARINA label on behalf of her Naked Hearts foundation.
