20th FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DES JEUNES CREATEURS DE MODE DINARD 2013 APRIL 19 – 20 – 21
The jury, chaired by Jean-Claude Jitrois, will be made up of leaders from the world of fashion and textiles. Twelve designers from different backgrounds will present their worlds to the industry’s leading players, with dynamism and sensitivity. The highlight for them will be the fashion show of their collection, presented in the magical setting of the Plage de l’Ecluse opposite the Casino.
Over the course of the weekend, these budding young creators, in direct contact with working life, on the lookout for trends and capable of industrializing their creations, will draw on the listening skills, support and help of leading professionals, who will follow them with their advice as they evolve.
The Festival, which takes place in Dinard, celebrates its 20th anniversary. Created on the initiative of its president Dominique Damien Réhel for the AMCS association, each year welcomes new talents in the fashion sector, women’s and men’s, lingerie, under the patronage of personalities from the fashion world.
Over the past 20 years, the Dinard International Festival of Young Fashion Creators has become a privileged and unmissable reference point, an ever more innovative, pioneering and unifying festival, where young talents who will be tomorrow’s stars of the fashion world stand out.
The competition brings together 12 designers, divided into 3 categories:
Men-Women-Lingerie (4 designers per category)
The selected candidates’ creations will be presented by the designer on a stand at the Palais des Arts et du Festival, as well as during a fashion show on Dinard’s Ecluse beach, to fashion professionals and the public.
These designers will be invited to present their collections individually to jury members, fashion professionals and journalists.
Prizes: Women’s Grand Prix, Men’s Grand Prix, Lingerie Prize, EthicalFashion Prize
This year, the Dinard International Festival of Young Fashion Creators has teamed up with Unicef Ille-et-Vilaine for an exciting project: La Frimousse, the doll that saves a child.
Each designer nominated to take part in the 20th International Festival of Young Fashion Creators in Dinard will be asked to design a Frimousse. Each designer nominated to take part in the 20th International Festival of Young Fashion Creators in Dinard will be asked to design a Frimousse.
Former prizewinners will also be asked to design a Frimousse. Jury” designers and Festival Partners are also invited to design a Frimousse.
These Frimousses will be officially presented on Friday April 19 during the Gala Dinner at the Casino Barrière, then exhibited during the 3 days of the Festival, at the Palais des Arts et du Festival.
The dolls will be auctioned on Saturday April 20 at the Palais des Arts et du Festival Theater, and the public vote will take place on Sunday at 3:00 pm, also at the Palais des Arts et du Festival.
