The Off-White™️ brand, created by Virgil Abloh, continues its evolution despite the death of its founder in 2018. For this new collection, the artistic director Ibrahim Kamara was inspired by the idea of « world-building » to create a universe at once punk, sexy, romantic and in tune with our times.
Optimism is at the heart of this collection, which is an evolution of the brand’s traditional roots. Contemporary culture is used as a starting point to analyze the vital position of the brand in the urban environment. Industrialization, a theme dear to Off-White™️, is also revisited with a new look.
Ibrahim Kamara’s journey back to his roots in West Africa is another source of inspiration for the collection. African motifs are reinterpreted to create a new vision of indigenous civilizations, while rusted tin roofs are used to influence the color palette.
The collection does not follow the aging tropes of science fiction. It is rather a way to imagine a future with few limits. The brand’s design philosophy is elegant, precise and in tune with the times.
Off-White™️ continues to innovate and reinvent itself while keeping the roots of its founder. The new collection, inspired by the creation of new worlds, offers a new and exciting vision of the brand’s future.
