British artist Gayle Chong Kwan seems to have taken a liking to Paris, and will be back this fall to present an exhibition at her favorite gallery: Galerie Alberta Pane.
Named Blind Vistas, this fourth solo exhibition by the artist is a true evocation of the senses in a universe that leaves room for storytelling and memory. As visitor-actor, we are transported into the worlds created by Gayle Chong Kwan through her almost interactive photographic installations, where each individual is linked to the others through the sensory stimuli generated. For example, the artist takes us on a journey to discover cavernous landscape panoramas created from tactile paper prints inspired by the writing used by the blind, as well as oval tactile photographs referring to our vision and optical illusions.
A voyage-like exhibition that questions both man and his environment, or how all human creation ultimately depends on the resources provided by nature. An original setting to be discovered from September 2013, to delight the senses and the mind…
Blind Vistas exhibition – September 7 to October 19, 2013 – Galerie Alberta Pane
Opening: Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 4pm.
GALLERY ALBERTA PANE– 14 rue Saint-Claude75003 Paris
