Trained as an architect, Brazilian designer Gustavo Lins began his career in Paris as a pattern-maker with Jean-Charles de Castalbajac, Kenzo and Louis Vuitton. In 2003, he launched his own brand, his Maison, creating ready-to-wear collections with pronounced codes such as kimonos and drapery. Since 2011, he has been a permanent member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, which further establishes him in the Paris fashion scene.
To coincide with Fashion Week, the usual Tranoï Homme show will be held at the Palais de la Bourse from June 29 to July 1. And as an unusual event for a collection presentation, Maison Gustavo Lins, in collaboration with Armand Hadida, will be holding a catwalk show open to the public on Saturday June 29 at 11am, on the steps of the Palais de la Bourse.
Taking it a step further, the modeling booth will also be open to the public, but not to watch the models change, no no. Everyone will have the chance to walk the catwalk by taking part in the casting session on Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15, from 2pm to 6pm. Just turn up at 83 rue Vieille du Temple in Paris. Normal people” who take the place of models, a rarity in today’s catwalk weeks.
