Discovering a champagne dandy, Charles Heidsieck.
CHARLES HEIDSIECK is a small champagne house in terms of production, but big in terms of reputation and quality. It is one of the greatest champagne houses, with countless awards and trophies to its name. This exceptional champagne is due to the extraordinary personality of its dandy creator, Charles Heidsieck.
Lhe Charles Heidsieck Champagnes, exceptional champagnes.
Its champagnes are only sold after at least 3 years in the cellar, and are composed of 60% of the year’s wines and 40% of blends to perpetuate the tradition of a rare, balanced wine. This well-balanced blend is the result of a number of deliberate choices which have contributed to the unique quality of this wine. Vinification cru by cru, grape by grape, enables the Chef de Caves to compose, like a chemist, the magic formula for a champagne of exceptional quality and consistency. Each grape variety adds its own touch of creaminess, strength, acidity and structure, in short, its own personality.
Patience is a virtue for the company, as the wines are kept in the chalk cellars for three years, rather than the standard fifteen months.
To accompany this exceptional champagne, an exceptional bottle was needed. The Brut Réserve and Rosé Réserve cuvées are produced in a single bottle, with a curvature reminiscent of a chalk bottle, and the use of monochrome and its different variants to differentiate the cuvées.
