This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas, whose unique feature is that it crowns a French-language novelist whose work is published in January.
For this exceptional anniversary, Claude Lelouch and Benjamin Biolay have agreed to join the jury, as President and Guest of Honor respectively.
The 2017 jury also included Lydia Bacrie, Victoria Bedos, Bérénice Bejo, Claire Chazal, Catherine Clément, Diane von Furstenberg, Emmanuelle Devos, Daniela Lumbroso, Orlan.
On April 19, 2017 the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas was awarded to Oriane Jeancourt Galignani for Hadamar and the Prix de l’Académie Lilas, made up of the former jurors of the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas, was awarded to Véronique Sanson, for lifetime achievement.
On this occasion, Montblanc, a partner of the prize since its creation and linked to writing since its origins, presented Oriane Jeancourt Galignani and Véronique Sanson with an exceptional pen:
the Bonheur fountain pen. Feminine in form, the writing instrument is made of black and white resin adorned with platinum attributes, a sober, refined style.
