**Barceló Imperial: The expression of the distillery’s savoir-faire*** (in French)

Barceló Imperial is a blend of 8 to 10 year-old rums, aged in bourbon casks, to reveal mellow, caramelized and fruity flavors. It is a traditional, numbered-edition cuvée, distilled in columns and aged in a tropical environment, enabling it to reveal a very fine palette of aromas and flavors. This singular rum boasts a deep copper color in a transparent, rounded bottle. Since its launch, Barceló Imperial has established itself as a leader in its sector, becoming the Dominican rum that has won the most awards from international organizations.

**Tasting notes:**

– On the nose: aromas of toffee, delicate flowers and dried fruit
– On the palate: very supple with a lovely fruity roundness and a generous body with notes of dried apple and pear, roasted hazelnuts, caramel, vanilla and brown spices.
– Finish: savoury fruity and buttery notes with a touch of tobacco leaves and peppery notes.

Barceló Imperial is available in 70 cl format, at a recommended retail price of €43, from wine merchants.

**Barceló: The first Carbon Neutral** rums

Barceló is a Dominican rum made from 100% pure sugarcane juice from their own plantations. The distillery is one of the few rum houses to cultivate its own cane fields, thus controlling the entire rum production process, from field to bottle. The Caribbean distillery offers a variety of prestigious rums renowned for their innovation.

Founded in 1929 by Spaniard Juliàn Barceló, this iconic Dominican Republic distillery has established itself on the local and international markets thanks to its Barceló Blanco, Dorado and Ron Barceló Añejo references. Since 2016, the third generation of the family has initiated a shift towards sustainability and carbon neutrality, becoming the first rum in the world to be accredited Carbon Neutral (CO2 neutral) by the United Nations.
