In the heart of Saint-Germain des Pré, Bistrot Family is the new business set up by the Chez Fernand teams: Remi Lebon and Dimitri Labaye. On the menu: solid, tasty cuisine.

Rue Guisarde, a small blue facade and a dozen or so tables inside, all occupied that lunchtime. Welcome to Bistrot Family. Opened last September, the address already seems to be benefiting from good word-of-mouth.
The menu features salads and, of course, burgers. The house specialty.
As an appetizer, we start with a Jerusalem artichoke velouté with a few pieces of walnut. A fine starter. The walnut adds crunch.

The dishes are hearty. I choose the Chicken Burger with apple compote, fries and homemade ketchup. Really good and hearty. A fine wine list is available.

All desserts are homemade. I opt for a red fruit panacotta. The service is really friendly and efficient. The owners are really on a roll! As for the decor, architect Juliette Moreau has designed a cosy place on two floors, with an American touch in the basement: cubicles for privacy and screens with black & white cartoons for the toddlers, and concert broadcasts in the evenings!

For Dimitri Labaye, the Bistrot Family is ” an opportunity to set up a new concept, with the desire to create a quirky place, for a clientele that doesn’t necessarily want to pay full price but does want quality and a fun atmosphere! It’s a real challenge to create a new, friendly restaurant with demanding service and quality products. “.
In short, Bistrot Family is first and foremost a quality restaurant with a strong product culture, but also a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
