Haribo has been delighting us ever since we were little, and we’ve all abused a packet at least once to the point of making ourselves sick, so I know what I’m talking about. Created in 1969, the Tagada strawberry is one of Haribo’s flagship products. Its first variation came in 2010 with the appearance of the tangy Tagada Pink. This year, the strawberry changes color a little, becoming Purple, with a hue somewhere between fuchsia and violet. This new Tagada is a natural concentrate of fruits and plants, with a sweet, delicious taste.
The press presentation included culinary workshops related to the famous strawberry, tastings (champagne + Tagada = a killer) and an introduction to mixology. I made a Tagada Purple cocktail with violets, Tagada syrup, tea and apple juice. My friend and I left in good spirits, albeit with a slight stomachache, which won’t stop us from rushing out to get our hands on the packs of Tagada Purple coming out this month.
