Henrik Vibskov is a Scandinavian designer. A true jack-of-all-trades in fashion and art, his eponymously-named brand allows him to express his creativity through the presentation of his collections. Each time, he takes us into a multitude of his own zany and singular universes. A graduate of the College of Arts and Design Central Saint Martins, Henrik Vibskov first dressed men, then women. Since the start of his career, he has been invited to take part in numerous international events, conferences and festivals, including the Swiss Textile, Festival de Hyères, Festival Noovo in Santiago de Compostela, Lunga Art Festival de l’Islande, the Notch Festival in Beijing, the Gwangju Design Biennale in South Korea, the Rohsska Museum in Gothenburg and many more. Henrik also dresses the world of music, and has already collaborated with artists such as MIA, Kanye West, Björk, The Arctic Monkeys, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Maman, Lou Reed, LCD Soundsystem and Devendra Banhart all find their way into Henrik Vibskov’s creations and work.Henrik Vibskov.
Its collections are sold only in carefully selected boutiques around the world. 10 Corso Como in Milan, Tom Greyhound in Seoul, RA in Antwerp, Magasin in Moscow, Club 21 in Singapore and its own Henrik Vibskov stores in Copenhagen and New York… are just some of the most influential stores. Henrik’s designs have won him prestigious awards such as the Becks Future Student Prize in 2000, Aarets Nye Navn in 2003, Danish Design Award in 2007, Brand of the Year by DANSK Magazine in 2008, a Præmieringen from the Dansh Arts Foundation in 2009, Soderberg prize in 2011, and the Jury Prize at the Danish Fashion Gala in 2012.
For this autumn-winter 2013/2014 season, Henrik Vibskov presented his new collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week. A collection that takes us into a world inspired by visual disorders and dysfunctions. Once again, strong graphic prints have been highlighted: Indian cotton with hand-printed stitches, large knitted patterns , magnified by herringbone on neoprene and linen, as well as patchworks of materials and colors that make their appearance in beautifully beautifully dysfunctional arrangements.
