In 1851, Charles-Camille Heidsieck, entrepreneur and visionary, gentleman and dandy, created a Champagne House in his image, authentic and refined. Charles’ guiding principles? Depth, generosity but also precision. This art of paradox and constant demand has always been the hallmark of Charles Heidsieck Champagne. The Rosé Réserve expresses it brilliantly, at once complex, generous and fresh.
A prestigious vintage
The blending of a champagne cuvée is a composition. Each blend is a new harmony, an author’s signature in its own right. Thierry Roset, Charles Heidsieck’s Chef de Caves, conceived Champagne Rosé Réserve in this spirit of refinement. 20% reserve white and red wines are used in the Rosé Réserve blend to give the wine the depth and aromatic breadth emblematic of Charles Heidsieck Champagnes. The structure comes from the wines of the year, guaranteeing the final balance.
The red wines (5-6% of the total) magnificently tint the robe a sophisticated powdery pink with luminous hints of rosehip.
The aromas are reminiscent of “homemade” strawberry jam mingled with the fruitiness of vine peach, followed by mellow notes of gingerbread delicately spiced with cinnamon. On the palate, the generosity of a strawberry, raspberry and blackberry sabayon is accompanied by
the smoothness of whipped cream. A delicate effervescence testifies to maturation over 36 months.
A sublime setting
In 1852, Charles-Camille Heidsieck set foot in New York. He was the very first to cross the Atlantic to introduce his Champagnes to America! In the spirit of a great traveler, the Charles Heidsieck Rosé Réserve box pays tribute to Charles-Camille Heidsieck, who never imagined traveling without style.
