On June 17, 2013, Nikon launches a collection of luxurious leather cases entirely designed and created by the renowned designer label J.W. Anderson. A unique artistic collaboration that marks the first association between Nikon and a fashion house.
“Like fashion, photography is an art form. Our partnership makes total sense to me. Taking photos is an integral part of my job”, says designer JW Anderson of his collaboration. Indeed, by combining the workmanship of the noble material leather with a flawless modernity, the designer offers a luxurious case, designed in the classic spirit of the 1940s, “with bold colors and a completely mixed look”, a trademark of the designer known for playing on gender crossovers. 
Designed for the Nikon 1, the flagship camera of the moment, the case imagined by JW Anderson is as versatile as the camera itself, and can store the camera as well as several interchangeable lenses. The Nikon’s special feature is its intelligent design, which uses a unique shooting mode to immortalize events as they happen. With its sleek, elegant style, the Nikon 1 seems to have been “chosen” by the case, which sublimates it and accompanies it wherever it goes.
Delighted by this unique collaboration, JW Anderson decided to unveil the piece at its Autumn/Winter show on June 17, 2013, during London Fashion Week. The icing on the cake of this unique encounter is the fact that only 400 cases of the limited edition (available in four colors: black, white, blue and orange) will be available in the Nikon Store from June 17, 2013, at a price of 99 euros incl. VAT.
