It’s so good to see two great French houses teaming up for our greatest pleasure! The famous watchmaker LIP has teamed up with clothing brand Commune de Paris to offer a modern range at the cutting edge of French design.
Avant-garde from the outset, LIP has seen two of its iconic watches revisited by Commune de Paris: the Panoramic and the Mach 2000, both in limited editions (300 and 150 pieces). But also a tee-shirt and a fine art poster, which like the watches, are given a French-style design with the colors of the tricolor band.

From left to right: LIP Panoramic and Mach 2000 watches revisited by Commune de Paris – capsule collection
While the two companies share a sophisticated taste for graphic design and fashion, Commune de Paris has chosen to pay tribute to the legendary watchmaking house through shared values of freedom and non-subordination. Indeed, this capsule collection celebrates the 40th anniversary of the “Summer of LIP”, a vast workers’ movement born of the desire to save the factory at a time when it had to file for bankruptcy. A symbolic movement that led to the first attempt at self-management and the resumption of production a year later.
Yet it is through the defense of fundamental rights that Commune de Paris highlights this harmonious, modern collaboration, itself borrowing the name of a historic event echoing the fight for freedom.
Indeed, while LIP has stood the test of time as a benchmark for innovation and design, today it seems to be giving itself yet another facelift through a bold, lively collaboration.
