When designer Micheala Buerger re-enchants the WRANGLER wardrobe, a love affair is born between denim and crochet. A “DENIM LOVE” capsule collection for the autumn-winter 2013/14 season. Micheala Buerger is a Parisian designer who began knitting and crocheting as a child in Austria, a true family tradition. After studying set design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, she was chosen by Raf Simons to join his class at the University of Applied Arts. It was in 2009 that she decided to launch her first knitwear collections, quirky and singular collections that seduced the famous Colette concept store in Paris from the very first season. Today, her creations are distributed in over 30 international outlets, including Galeries Lafayette and Colette, as well as Barney’s in the USA and Corso Como in Seoul. Micheala Buerger has now teamed up with denim brand WRANGLER, which revisits its denim heritage each season with contemporary jeans.

The collection’s theme is aimed at the grunge and romantic woman. The collection features slim and skinny jeans, denim shorts and a denim jacket, as well as knits, sweaters, cardigans, skirts and dresses. The two flagship models are the Jenna jeans and the Sienna jacket. Micheala Buerger created ruptures on the jeans to give them a grunge effect, crocheting cobwebbed wool threads underneath as if to create mended jeans. The romantic swagger gives a rock and western effect at the same time.

The “DENIM LOVE” capsule collection can be found from the end of June 2013 exclusively in the Colette concept store in Paris.
