At PIPER-HEIDSIECK, cinema is a great love story. In fact, this champagne has always accompanied the stars.
Marilyn Monroe used to say that to sleep, she wore “a few drops of Chanel N° 5”. She added: “And I start every day with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck, because it warms my body.
We met this illustrious house at the Cannes Film Festival a few weeks ago. At PIPER-HEIDSIECK, a house that deserves to be known for its refined wine and fine bubbles.
We were therefore able to discover and taste the range:
THE GREAT CLASSIC OF THE PIPER-HEIDSIECK RANGE
Since 1785, Piper-Heidsieck has been crafting its Cuvée Brut with great attention to authenticity and quality. Cuvée Brut Piper-Heidsieck is a blend of some fifty carefully selected crus. The Pinot Noir grapes give the Cuvée Brut its architecture and elegance, and contribute to the originality of the Piper-Heidsieck style. What immediately grabs us is the finesse of the bubbles and the lightness of this champagne.
Cuvée Brute was rated 15/20 by Bettane & Desseauve 2009, and 15/20 by Gault & Millau 2010.
FOR LOVERS OF FINE WINES
Daughter of the Brut cuvée, to which it owes its blending practice: fifty of Champagne’s finest crus, vinified separately, it owes its temperament to a twist, the addition of a dose of red Champagne wine, which turns its color pink and exalts its fruity flavor. The secret of its fullness and ardor? It has waited at least thirty months before expressing itself.
This magnificent champagne surprised us with the delicacy of its fruity aromas.
The raw cuvée received 2 stars and was voted “Coup de cœur” in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2008. It was also awarded 15.5/20 by Bettane & Desseauve 2009.
AN EXCEPTIONAL CHAMPAGNE, PRECIOUS BECAUSE SO RARE
The 2002 vintage is the latest in a trilogy (1988 – 1998 – 2002) born of the oenologist’s inspiration. A blend of mostly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged for at least seven years in the cellar. Extremely pure and impressively intense, this wine marries power with a hint of the exotic.
Created by Parisian jewellers Arthus Bertrand, its jewel bottle is inspired by the brand’s origins and embodies its excellence.
An exceptional wine, fine and refined, a delight.
95/100 Wine Spectator 2010.

On the nose, fresh fruit dominates, with pear and reinette apple and citrus notes such as star fruit. The finish is reminiscent of
fresh grapes, enlivened by fresh aniseed notes.
On the palate: a frank, structured, full-bodied wine. A juicy, pulpy texture of pear and blond grape. A finish that closes in on citrus, grapefruit. A wine rich in fruit, with a good presence on the palate and harmonious balance.
