Tour Auto 2013, Optic 2ooo in the race from April 22 to 27

Optic 2ooo, partner of the Tour Auto, is back on the roads of France for the 22nd edition of the historic version of the race. The Tour Auto brings together some 250 classic cars, all of which took part in one of the original editions between 1951 and 1973. The Tour Auto Optic 2ooo leaves Paris on April 23, then stages in 4 towns before finishing in La Rochelle on April 27.

On every stage of the Tour, Optic 2ooo, true to its values, is showcasing its professionalism by offering visual and hearing screenings. Firmly committed to supporting the AFM Téléthon, the company is appealing to the public’s generosity in the Tour Auto village and on the MiniTour, with the aim of helping research into genetic eye diseases in particular.

Fifth year of Tour Auto partnership for Optic 2ooo

Optic 2ooo has long been associated with motor sport. Whether it’s competition, where the fastest man wins, or regularity, which implies fine, precise management of performance, Optic 2ooo can identify with the qualities of this discipline. This partnership enables the brand to illustrate its professional commitment to prevention and the need for good eyesight for safe driving.

From the Grand Palais to La Rochelle

The most famous glass roof in Paris, a true architectural feat, will house for one day, on April 22, the 250 cars taking part in the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo. This is an opportunity for the general public to come and admire this ephemeral exhibition up close, which will then travel along the roads of France to reach La Rochelle.

Prevention in the Tour Auto village

Optic 2ooo is on hand at the Tour Auto village to test visitors’ visual performance. With AUDIO 2OOO, they can also have their hearing assessed. At the end of these tests, they are given a Vue & Audition passport to enable them to assess their visual and hearing performance. In all cases, Optic 2ooo and AUDIO 2OOO recommend regular check-ups with your ophthalmologist or ENT specialist.

MiniTour Optic 2ooo, and the little ones think big!

In each stopover town, from 3pm to 8pm, children aged 6 to 13 will be able to get behind the wheel of a mini-car on a closed circuit. The optical chain combines fun with education, delivering messages about sight and hearing with the “Ma vue j’y tiens” and “Mon audition j’y tiens” programs.

Specially developed for a young audience, this information is designed to make young children aware of the importance of visual correction and hearing protection in the face of noise.
