Veuve Clicquot and Joël Robuchon: a shared quest for excellence!

Since last February, Maison Veuve Clicquot and chef Joël Robuchon have been combining their expertise. The Maison Veuve Clicquot is embarking on a great culinary adventure with Joël Robuchon, a Michelin-starred chef whose wild inventiveness has taken the world by storm. For more than 240 years, the Maison Veuve Clicquot has been perfecting its wines through excellence, always striving for “a single quality, the very first”, which has become its benchmark and motto. Following the same path, Joël Robuchon has established himself as one of the popes of gastronomy, giving a new essence to the most basic products and sublimating the noblest raw materials.

Veuve Clicquot’s distinctive style has been perpetuated through its cuvées since 1772. Brut Carte Jaune embodies the House style dominated by Pinot Noir. The rosé champagne created by Madame Clicquot in 1818 is still produced using the same blending method. And symbolizing the quintessential Veuve Clicquot style, La Grande Dame has been delivering prestige cuvees for 40 years. Dominique Demarville, the House’s Chef de Caves, celebrates quality by continuing to create wines in which the predominance of Pinot Noir lends structure and strength.
Joël Robuchon is the world’s most starred chef, with 26 stars. His professionalism, rigor, confidence and creativity have earned him an international reputation. Named “Chef of the Century” in 1990 by his peers, Joël Robuchon is now committed to combining food and wine, to create a symbiosis between his culinary creations and Veuve Clicquot wines.

The subtle flavors of emblematic dishes, such as caviar impérial in its jelly and cauliflower cream, or simple mashed potatoes, will mingle with the finesse of saffron-colored wines, the sunny color that is the hallmark of Veuve Clicquot. From the tasting room at the Hôtel du Marc, Veuve Clicquot’s prestigious property in Reims, to the various Ateliers Robuchon around the world, the French Art de Vivre will be revealed during exceptional gastronomic journeys, punctuated by Joël Robuchon’s creative preparations and the elegance of Veuve Clicquot wines.
Veuve Clicquot Champagne will be featured in all Joël Robuchon’s restaurants in France and abroad. Several times a year, the chef will visit the Hôtel du Marc, Veuve Clicquot’s private reception venue, to create food and wine pairings for exclusive lunches.
Veuve Clicquot and Joël Robuchon continue their tradition of gastronomic conquests!
