Les Garçons – Paris

To immerse yourself in the world of Les Garçons – Paris is to plunge into a universe where masculinity is transcended and luxury is unrivalled in its discretion and rigor.

Although their workspace stands out for its welcoming, friendly feel, the two boys at the helm of the brand founded in 2004, Gregory Lamaud and Louis Gerin, are the instigators of a project of incomparable refinement that returns to the noble roots of men’s fashion.
So what exactly is Les Garçons – Paris? First and foremost, it’s a vision of men’s underwear (and not a concept, which is more attached to trends and ephemera). The values of nobility and modernity come together to create a brand that draws its inspiration from the history of fashion, and each choice is never insignificant.

Silk and lace undergarments, previously reserved for men before appearing in women’s underwear, are the first pieces presented to us. The colors are sober, unostentatious and subtle: gray, blue, white and black. The natural materials are mostly silk or cotton, caressing the skin.

Shirts, which in the Middle Ages were considered underwear, are also an integral part of the Les Garçons universe. Not just any shirt, of course, as we’re targeting a high-end clientele.

Beyond their obvious aesthetic appeal, Les Garçons garments are also practical, with quick-drying garments ideal for summer, especially since they are also lined with lingerie and can therefore also be worn without anything underneath.

For their Spring Summer 2013 collection, Les Garçons compete with technicality and winks through details. Based on the “boy’s garage” theme, the pieces are created in a single block of fabric, always in high-quality, summery materials. They reinvent the houndstooth pattern, transform a silk square into a belt, and show off the extent of their talent.
