The Rezidor hotel group announces the opening of the Park Inn by Radisson Astana in Kazakhstan

Rezidor, one of the world’s fastest-growing hotel groups and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, announces the opening of the Park Inn by Radisson Astana in Kazakhstan. The 248-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2013. The hotel will be the Rezidor Hotel Group’s second in Astana.

“Eastern Europe is one of the key regions for our business development. Our portfolio already includes 105 hotels with over 25,000 rooms, and we intend to strengthen our presence there in the future”, says Kurt Ritter, Chairman and CEO of the Rezidor hotel group. In Russia/CIS and the Baltic region, the Rezidor hotel Group is the leading international operator.

The new Park Inn by Radisson Astana hotel will enjoy a prime location in the center of Astana, at the crossroads of the right and left banks. In addition to its 248 comfortable rooms, the hotel will feature a restaurant, bar, 12 meeting rooms ranging from 31 to 176 square meters, as well as parking spaces. The hotel will provide free access to Astana’s new city center. In addition, it is close to the city’s cultural sites, making its location an attraction for both business and leisure guests.

The owner of the two hotels in Astana is Incom Astana LLC, a developer renowned for its high-end commercial and exclusive real estate properties in Astana, Kazakhstan for over a decade.

Park Inn by Radisson is the young, dynamic brand of the Rezidor hotel group, offering a warm welcome, a pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings, contemporary restaurants and extensive meeting facilities. Across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Park Inn by Radisson has more than 160 hotels.

Kazakhstan boasts the largest economy in Central Asia, thanks to its enormous oil reserves and abundant natural resources. Since the opening of the Astana settlement, the population has more than doubled and is expected to reach one million before 2030. The city is seen as one of the world’s largest construction projects. It is designed to make Astana the absolute center of Central Asia, and calls for new hotel developments in the future. Climatically, Astana is the second coldest country in the world after Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.
