Damir Doma‘s fall/winter 2013/2014 men’s show was all about masterful (un)construction. With hair unstructured for outfits where tailoring is definitely the way forward, Damir Doma is moving towards a more structured style than we’re used to, with the designer choosing more precise and sharp cuts than in previous seasons.

Grey, the dominant color at Damir Doma, is found in looks that mix the designer’s signature volumes with more body-conscious garments.
Trousers are worn at the waist and generally puffed up at the thigh, while shirts and jackets are tidier and contrast with the width of the pants.

In keeping with the season, this is also a winter and mountain collection, featuring knits and wools and a number of prints (oversized tartan on jackets and coats, as well as wave patterns and square crosses on sleeves).

The silhouette remains adolescent, which explains the avalanche of hats on unstructured hair and boots.

Grey and black are king in Damir Doma’s ice kingdom, but that doesn’t stop colors such as navy blue, ochre, brown and even white – a nod to eternal snow – from joining the collection.
