Hailed by the crème de la crème of international journalists for his work at Jil Sander and more recently for Dior, Raf Simons is one of the leading designers whose name is unavoidable (he also always has the good taste to cast Adrien Sahores).
For Autumn Winter 2013/2014, Raf Simons has chosen to venture into the realm of color blocking and geometric patterns integrated into the structure of his garments. Men’s fashion basics are reinterpreted with what we might call “the Simons touch”, i.e. assertive colors, surprising cuts and styling deliberately left untidy, as if done in a hurry.
Modern and elegant, it’s in the details that Raf Simons illustrates his creativity: oversized sleeves and unbuttoned cuffs, the Raf Simons man is deliberately bohemian but sharp. Bottle green, cerulean blue, candy pink and yellow were the colors on show, alongside the eternally chic black.
The collection’s flagship print is a face in profile found on sweaters and available in many colors.
