It’s the end of the year, the holidays and countless gifts. Sometimes beautiful, often pleasant, but not always original.
Well, I’ve come up with an idea for a pretty, sparkling surprise that meets all these criteria. It should delight the taste buds of both lovers of good Champagne and those who appreciate designer products.
Pommery, which has been surprising us with its trendy POP range since 1999, continues the adventure with a new limited edition of the small 20 cl bottle.
This year, for Christmas, we’re offering not one creation, but four. Four silver bottles, decorated in the spirit of Christmas: the blue, the yellow, the white and the red.
This quarter-bottle concept has enabled the brand to reach a more nomadic, younger population at festive times. ThePINK edition (for its champagne and rosé bottle) was a great success around Valentine’s Day, for example.
And since 2005, Pommery has also entrusted young designers with the transformation of the bottle into a work of art. A saga with no end in sight, and whose 10th anniversary was celebrated in 2009 with Federica Matta.
Beyond this essential aesthetic aspect, the Champagne House has not skimped on the quality of the wine: it has been made specifically for this container, thanks to the talent of its cellar master Thierry Gasco.
POP is a champagne with round, floral notes, pleasant to drink even through a straw… Purist that I am, tasting it in a flute remains a must for the palate and the sight of the fine bubbles flying as they meet the glass.
These 4 mini POP bottles are presented in a poker-like case. Secret, like a jewel case, it reveals the bottles of a drink to be enjoyed in moderation.
Once you’ve tasted the bottles (or kept them as a collector’s item), you’ll keep a practical and refined souvenir.
The Christmas POP case is distributed selectively at La Grande Épicerie de Paris and Domaine de Pommery in Reims. Price: 75€ (please note that there won’t be enough for everyone: only 300 copies of this series are available…).
