Bollinger celebrates 50 years of James Bond

“Bollinger? If it is a ’69, you were expecting me.” – Moonraker, 1979
Champagne house Bollinger first appeared alongside James Bond in Ian Fleming’s 1956 novel Diamonds Are Forever. For almost 40 years, Bollinger has been James Bond’s champagne of choice for the silver screen, a key element in his sparkling seduction of women and a symbol of his “so-British” refinement.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of 007’s appearance on the silver screen, and the champagne house’s association with James Bond, Bollinger is launching a limited-edition event box. Chic and playful in the image of the secret agent, this box in the shape of a silencer, the famous Walther PPK designed by the Sparkle agency, consists of a case that will delight fans of the secret agent and technological gadgets, as it opens by aligning the 3 numbers 007 and clicking on the “gun” logo. This reveals a bottle of Bollinger La Grande Année 2002, the most exceptional vintage of the last decade, according to Mathieu Kauffmann, Cellar Master at Bollinger.
In Skyfall, it’s Bollinger R.D 1997 that James Bond sips when he meets Bérénice Marlohe in a casino on the China Sea, a scene already legendary from the last opus.
