Karl Lagerfeld and Fossil have announced the long-awaited global launch of Karl Lagerfeld watches for February 28, 2013.
The collection will be distributed exclusively and simultaneously in selected stores and online in North America, Europe and Asia. Especially for the launch, watches from the initial collection will be presented in limited-edition cases with uniquely engraved case backs.
Inspired by Karl Lagerfeld himself, the watch collection embodies the
designer’s vision through cutting-edge timepieces. Emblematic and
daring, the seven watch platforms come in a range of
sizes and colors, allowing great versatility to adapt
to fashion trends.
One of the most exceptional watches in the collection is the “Karl Zip”, Karl Lagerfeld’s favorite model. The zippers are the embodiment of what Karl Lagerfeld stands for: non-conformist design and a timeless appearance. They’re not just for the eye, they’re fully functional. So you can wear this catwalk-worthy piece as a multifunctional accessory.
The collection is made up of extraordinary details: bracelets in stainless steel or metallic leathers, pyramidal studs and bold chains. The “Karl 7” is also a flagship model in the collection, taking its name from Karl Lagerfeld’s fetish number. Topped by a beveled upper bezel that completes its quirky, modern look, this model turns traditional watch design codes on their head.
