The Saxon brand A.Lange & Söhne has opened its second boutique in the United Arab Emirates. For the occasion, a special limited edition of 30 pieces, the LANGE ZEITWERK HANDWERKSKUNST, was presented. These pieces will be available exclusively in the seven A. Lange & Söhne boutiques worldwide.
The A.Lange & Söhne boutique in the Dubai shopping mall is the largest store of the Saxon watch brand, with a sales area of almost 200 m2. Since its opening, enthusiasts of fine watches have been able to discover the prestigious Saxon watch brand. At the boutique’s inauguration, customers were also introduced to the limited edition LANGE ZEITWERK HANDWERKSKUNST, which will only be available in A. Lange & Söhne boutiques. An engraver from the Manufacture was on hand to show guests how the balance and escape wheel cocks are hand-decorated on each of the thirty pieces in this special edition. A Lange watchmaker allowed customers to admire his meticulous work at his side.

With Dubai, we are opening our seventh boutique worldwide and the second in the United Arab Emirates,” explained Wilhelm Schmid, Chairman and CEO of A.Lange & Söhne, at an international press conference on September 26, 2012. In July, A.Lange & Söhne opened a boutique in the Eithad Towers in Abu Dhabi. “Our boutiques, yet far from the brand’s Saxon home, evoke the true atmosphere of our tradition, giving lovers of fine watches the opportunity to discover the history, philosophy of the art of watchmaking and craftsmanship of A.Lange & Söhne,” Wilhelm Schmid added.

A brief history of A.Lange & Söhne
With the creation of his manufactory in 1845, Dresden-born watchmaker Ferdinand A.Lange laid the foundations of the Saxon watchmaking industry. His precious pocket watches remain highly coveted by collectors the world over.
