Oris presents, within its BC3 aviation collection, the Oris Air Racing Silver Lake: a new limited edition, dedicated to the Swiss Air Racing Team, engaged in the famous Reno Air Race (U.S.A.).
This year, the Swiss Air Racing Team collaborated with RUAG Aviation, a renowned civil and military aviation company majority owned by the Swiss Confederation. The duo worked to improve the aerodynamics of pilot Don Vito Wypraechtiger’s aircraft, the Scarlet Screamer, to optimize his chances of securing a podium place at the Reno Air Race 2012.
The Oris Air Racing Silver Lake edition pays direct homage to the decoration of Don Vito’s Scarlet Screamer. On the dial, the aperture at 9 o’clock allows you to use the crown to display either the days of the week or seven stylized drawings of the aircraft.
Appearing at 10 o’clock on the timer, the number 50 evokes the aircraft’s race number.
Limited to 1000 pieces, the model features a back engraved with the “Oris Air Racing” logo and the limited edition number.
Offered in a special box, including a certificate, a second strap and a strap-change tool, the Oris Air Racing Silver Lake Edition is the perfect timepiece to support Don Vito Wypraechtiger and the Swiss Air Racing Team in their exploits.
