LAVAZZA : “OPERA VIVA THE 2013 SOCIAL CALENDAR” by MARCO BRAMBILLA

This year, LAVAZZA is revolutionizing its calendar by teaming up with Marco Brambilla, an Italian-Canadian artist renowned on the international digital creation scene.
In the form of a two-minute video, this digital calendar condenses a year into a single day around 12 themes.
A real calendar (r)evolution
The Lavazza calendar leaves paper behind and is transformed into a video montage. For the first time ever, it will be a large-scale collective work, thanks to images and videos posted on the Web by hundreds of photography and digital arts enthusiasts.
The artist, artistic director of the project, will then select some of them to create the final work, which will be online from January 2013 on the operaviva.lavazza.com website.
Revolutionary and interactive for all, Internet users will be able to make “Opera Viva” their own, and from January onwards they’ll be able to download the final work and personalize it with their own multimedia content to create their own unique and exclusive version of the calendar.

Until October 31, you can upload your own photos and videos:
– On operaviva.lavazza.com.
– On the Lavazza Espress Yourself Facebook page.
– Via the “Opera Viva” application for iPhone and iPad, downloadable free of charge from the App Store.
– On Instagram, using the keyword #OperaViva.
After registering, you can publish your contributions on the web, then share them on social networks such as Facebook or Twitter.
From November 1, Marco Brambilla will select the best of them to create the 2013 edition of the “Lavazza Social Calendar”.
