Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Julio Cesar Chavez, Lennox Lewis … In Vegas, the 12 great living legends of boxing upped the ante for 12 unique Hublot watches at an exceptional evening gathering 300 guests and VIPs in honor of 12 Very Great Boxing Champions: Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lennox Lewis, Jeff Fenech, Larry Holmes, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Azumah Nelson, Julio Cesar Chavez and Oscar De La Hoya.
To welcome these legendary boxers, the day began with a
press conference led by renowned TV boxing commentator Bob Sheridan.
A total of $1,000,000 was raised for the WBC charity!
The 12 greatest living boxing legends met – at the invitation of Hublot and the WBC – at the Bellagio to support the creation of the WBC Pension Fund. For the occasion, Hublot created 12 unique watches in their honor, signed on the back by each boxer. Sales at the exceptional gala dinner raised $1,000,000 for the charity initiative.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, opened the festivities with WBC President Jose Sulaiman by introducing the partnership between Hublot and the WBC and presenting each boxer with a Hublot King Power watch, each bearing their signature. The 12 watches were created especially for the auction in aid of the WBC charity. Each boxer then showed his support for the operation, thanking the joint initiative with Hublot.
