It’s summer, and Hyundai’s new I20 is hitting French roads. For the occasion, the city car has been given a facelift! Luxsure’s editorial team has tested it for you.
“One car, five senses
“Sensing rain, reacting to darkness and seeing behind you”, the new I20 anticipates the needs of the driver. The city car is equipped with a rain sensor, automatic headlamps, reversing radar (integrated into the rearview mirror), keyless ignition and speed limiter to get you on the road.
In terms of looks, the five-door has undergone a complete facelift (bumpers, grille, headlamps, fenders and hood). The result: twenty years younger and a good dose of sex appeal. Under the hood: a new engine 3-cylinder 75 hp diesel has been developed in Germany using Hyundai’s Blue Drive technologies. The result is a more ecological and economical car ( emissions: 84 g CO2/km/combined fuel consumption: 3.6 l/100 km).
Expect to pay between 12,750 and 18,800 euros for this city car. The Korean brand offers the driver a “Triple 5” warranty: five years’ unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty, five years’ breakdown assistance and five years’ free routine checks. With the arrival of warmer weather, the new i20 is now in sixth gear and is easy to drive. Just one word: on the road again!
