Last night, the Pavillon Vendôme was transformed into a temple of fashion to host the 2012 E-Fashion Awards. This international competition aims to promote young fashion talent. A real springboard to open the doors of Parisian fashion to young designers.

D-12 to Fashion Week…The countdown is on, and who better to open the festivities than the new generation! Last night, ten candidates presented their creations to a jury presided over by Alain Nemarq, director of Mauboussin.

Big black capes, shoes straight out of Hollywood fiction: the E-Fashion Award goes to…Jimmy Becmeur! At just 23 years old, Jimmy has all the makings of a great designer, plunging us into a futuristic, dark and disquieting universe. Mr. Becmeur has captured the spirit of the times. The young designer has already launched his own line of JIMJIM shoes(http://www.jimijim-design.com/Contact.php).

Jimmy Becmeur savors his victory!

Kevin Kesler (third prize) loves “dominatrix” women

For her part, young designer Yiyan Zhou brought a touch of freshness with her pure lines, all veiling and transparency. More daring, Kevin Kesler flirts with SM chic, turning women into modern-day Amazons. To each his own: the world of sport inspired Nicolas Rosser, who plays with materials. While Hélène Montenot adorns us with her architectural outfits, Laura Boucher lights up our wardrobes. In short, keep these names in mind: the new generation could well dress you up!
