On Friday June 1, the event of the day was the birth of the new sports channel that everyone is talking about, and which is shaking up the French audiovisual landscape: beIN Sport. The programming will be exceptional (Ligue 1, Champions League…).
The chain’s directors had chosen the majestic setting of the Théâtre de Chaillot, with its breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
Many distinguished visitors came to celebrate this birth and took part in the Photocall: Claude Makelele, Hatem Ben Arfa, Luis Fernandez, Bernard Lama, Richard Dacoury, Mary Pierce, Carlo Ancelotti accompanied by his wife and daughter.
In the Lobby, a huge clock displays the countdown to the official launch. At 7pm, the channel’s CEO Nasser al-Khelaïfi appears on screen and officially opens the channel. A set is set up in the room, and the sports stars follow one another. The arrival of Rafael Nadal, the multiple Roland Garros winner, was an event.
Numerous former PSG players were present, including Raï and Vincent Guerin, as well as former coaches and presidents such as Luis Fernandes, Robin Leproux and Alain Cayzac.
The new channel was hosted by young but experienced journalists such as Christophe Josse. Quality consultants such as Robert Pires and Grégory Coupet. BeIN Sport is a multi-sport channel: boxing, rugby and handball will also be featured. BeIN Sport 2, BeIN Sport’s little sister, is due to arrive on June 28.
A wonderful evening with no false notes.
