“BLACK LEGEND”
In 2012, RYNSHU signs its 41st fashion show in Paris, and celebrates its 20th anniversary.
To mark the occasion, Rynshu launches two films, a novel and a little mascot character.
This visual art novel, entitled “BLACK LEGEND”, will be published in France, China and Japan, in their respective languages. At the same time, the film 9 3/4 (“nine three quarter”, lead actress :RIO) is scheduled to be presented at the Cannes International Film Festival in May 2012. (scriptwriter, general producer and director: Rynshu). Rynshu has also
wrote the screenplay for the film “U” (“An alien is right next to you”). It tells the story of Rynshu’s mascot, MAJI-kun, an 8.5cm tall alien (you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of him at the end of the parade), who is a friend to human beings and grants their wishes. This scenario will be adapted into an animated film in China.QINGDAO ReY.S CULTURE &MEDIA will market MAJI kun, a cool, rock’n’roll mascot, targeting the generation that saw the birth of HELLO KITTY.The theme of the novel “BLACK LEGEND” is the common thread running through RYNSHU’s Autumn-Winter 12-13 collection.
For this collection, Rynshu has created two original fabrics: one in black lamé tweed with a coarse white thread and one in gold lamé jacquard tweed with a coarse red thread; he has combined them with other materials such as cashmere, Spanish lambskin, a lambskin/skin with a very special feel, coated suede, polyester velvet, sheepskin, astrakhan and mink. The golden, precious aspect of red tweed was also strongly emphasized during the show. The designer used gold lamé (perforated or “crocodile” pattern) in touches on the edges of the front of the jacket and on the cuffs
as well as on some pants. On the pants front, Rynshu has created a draped sarouel and a casual pant with elastic bottoms. They are either voluminous or slim-fitting, and all unisex. Other highlights include a collar with a large hood, a large fur collar, the very narrow lapel of a jacket, the trompe-l’œil collar of a jacket, the subtle
use of white leather, the “mirror pants” and the jacket and coat with “pillow collar”.
