Calvin Klein Collection unveils its Christmas window displays

\

For the festive season, the famous brand unveiled a few days ago its window displays and installations in New York at its Madison Avenue boutique. An extraordinary artistic installation is the highlight of this year’s Christmas window displays, based on matter, form and light.
The unique work was designed by British artist Nathaniel Rackowe, renowned for his large-scale sculptural creations, in which the interplay between light and urban and industrial materials is omnipresent.

It is his latest work, entitled “Black Beacon”, that the artist is presenting in Calvin Klein Collection’s flagship store. Spanning over 18 meters, it took several months to build in the artist’s studio before being shipped to New York for assembly. Its suspended steel structure creates an uncluttered decor, accentuated by the honeycomb cardboard panels fixed to the external faces of the structure.
The impressive steel sculpture and window displays will remain in place until January 3, 2012 at Calvin Klein Collection’s flagship store at 654 Madison Avenue in New York.
