This season, Christophe Guillarmé takes an introspective look at his work by experimenting with the famous Rorschach test.
A desire to question the creative process: how to imagine a collection from that famous inkblot, as if to find the origin of inspiration. The designer’s interpretation shapes and coordinates his silhouettes, and sometimes leaves parts of dresses as if unfinished, thanks to illusion tulle that is often embroidered to reveal the skin.
We had the pleasure of meeting him in his showroom to talk about this collection and its latest news:
With the idea that inspiration is volatile, and may be lacking in one part of a piece, but ultimately expresses itself in that sketch.
Christophe proposes a resolutely contemporary, versatile woman who plays on the ambiguity of her outfits to get her message of seduction across. Colors are stripped to their essentials: immaculate white in laser-cut petals, black in spidery lace or cotton jersey illuminated by silver embroidery, nude in pleated tulle and a surge of gold in all its guises: gold tulle, old gold, sequins in matte gold and camel in an embroidered gandoura version.
A no-frills but assertive look for a sunny Amazon whose charms radiate.
