A hymn to the Russian summer, a season so short it may be full of fine, expressive beauty. Ural hard stones are the main theme of the new collection. Entire fields of these translucent gems adorn the author’s prints and embroideries. Cascades of icy-blue tourmalines, rock crystal, mountain-green emeralds, rubies and moonstones printed on organiza, chiffon or cotton create intricate embellishments reminiscent of jewelry from the treasuries of Russian emperors.
As for the color range, washed vinage colors dominate, along with milky hues, ivory, smoky blue-gray, coral and the coffee and pink hues of Petersburg’s White Nights.
The collection is created in the dynamic style of a business city. It is based on sober suits, jackets, skirts and pants whose structure represents a complication of contemporary tailoring. Shortened leather jackets add sporty, active accents. And silk dresses and chiffon blouses add a hint of romance.
A trendy complement to the summer look: white or silver crocodile-skin clutches and pastel-colored silk or leather pumps created by formidable Italian masters from the designer’s sketches.
