ART ÉLYSÉES returns for its 5th edition on the Champs-Elysées during the week dedicated to modern and contemporary art in Paris, from October 20 to 24.
60 galleries selected by an artistic committee, chaired by Baudoin Lebon, including : Galerie Berthet-Aittouarès (Paris), Galerie Brimaud (Paris), Baudoin Lebon (Paris), Galerie Jean-françois Cazeau (Paris), Galerie Kandler(Toulouse), Galerie Messine, Blaise Parinaud (Paris), Galerie des Modernes (Paris), Galerie Lélia Mordoch (Paris), Galerie Aroya- Traits Noirs (Zaragoza-Toulouse), Galerie Protée (Paris), Galerie Oniris (Rennes), Galerie Patrice Trigano (Paris), Galerie Sabine Vazieux (Paris), Galerie Vintage (Paris), Galerie Les Yeux Fertiles (Paris)…
In 2010, Art Élysées was a resounding success, confirming its rapid progress in terms of quality and reputation.
For its 5th edition, the fair is once again accentuating its strong positioning in “classic” modern and contemporary art, welcoming new galleries specializing in the great masters of the 20th century, while maintaining an essential relationship with contemporary creation galleries.
Alongside its primary activity of actively participating in the art market as a fair, Art Élysées is developing its cultural dimension by integrating new exhibitions and other institutions into its structure, as in 2010, when it welcomed the Vasarely Foundation. This year, Art Élysées is delighted to welcome the Musée Maillol as its guest of honor.
The museum is presenting 2 exhibitions: Pompeii – An Art of Living, a preview of the exhibition installed at the Musée Maillol from September 21, 2011 to February 12, 2012. The second exhibition presents recent works by Israeli painter Ra’anan Lévy, one of the great artists of the early 21st century, on the 2nd floor of the Musée Maillol, from November 9, 2011 to February 12, 2012.
Also featured is a work by Pierre-Marie Lejeune, created especially for the show with the support of METALLIERS CHAMPENOIS. Here, the artist transforms the “BUG” characteristic of his virtual alphabet into a “WATER BUG” fountain.
For the past five years, the Art Élysées event has contributed to the artistic and cultural dynamism of the city of Paris, known as a major international center for openness and excellence in the art world. It was therefore an obvious choice to install the second edition of DESIGN ÉLYSÉES, in the third pavilion along the Grand Palais, at the same time as Art Élysées, from October 20 to 24.
The combination of these two events offers a more global panorama of “classic” modern and contemporary art, always with the aim of providing exhibitors and visitors with ever more coherent and qualitative editions.
Thus, from the Place de la Concorde to the Franklin Roosevelt traffic circle, a journey of Art and Design is offered to visitors.
DESIGN ELYSEES : Le rendez-vous du design_ 20th century furniture & objects.

Following the success of its launch in 2010, this young fair for 20th-century furniture and design objects is back in the Grand Palais.
The only difference this year is that, in 2011, DESIGN ELYSEES joins the stream of the most eagerly awaited Parisian events (FIAC, ART ELYSEES, SHOW OFF, CHIC ART FAIR, SLICK, CUTLOG…). The design fair joins ART ELYSEES, the modern and contemporary art fair, to offer a more coherent and global panorama of “classic” modern and contemporary art.
From the Place de la Concorde to the Franklin Roosevelt traffic circle, visitors can enjoy a journey through art and design.
The aim of the organizers is to create an event that brings together the major players in 20th-century design, with a cutting-edge selection led by a selection committee of gallerists: Ayann Goses, Benoît Ramognino and Stéphane Danant.
With the collaboration of the members of this committee, DESIGN ELYSEES brings together over 6 days galleries presenting exceptional pieces of design from the 40s to the 70s.
These include: Galerie Arcanes (Paris), Artefact Design (Paris), Galerie Avril (Paris), Benoit Ramognino_ Collection Privée (Paris), Casa Bella (Paris), Galerie David Corcos (Paris), Demisch Danant (New York), La Galerie Moderne (Paris), Galerie Parisienne (Paris), Mandalian Paillard (Paris), Galerie Pascal Cuisinier (Paris), Galerie Vintage (Paris).
EXHIBITION:
For the second edition of DESIGN ELYSEES, an exhibition will be dedicated to the world of the “Futuro”, the house of the future, created in 1968 by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen. Visitors to DESIGN ELYSEES will have the opportunity to discover this incredible futuristic creation, presented alongside Alain Cherrier’s “Gellule” desk, published by Plastiques de Bourgogne in 1969.
DESIGN ELYSEES is the place to be for purists, collectors and nostalgic visitors in search of historic objects and furniture from the most innovative years that revolutionized our interiors.
