HOTEL LE BRISTOL PARIS VOTED “BEST HOTEL IN FRANCE” AND “BEST HOTEL IN EUROPE” AT THE WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS 2011
Le Bristol Paris, the flagship of the luxury hotel industry and the first hotel to receive the palace distinction in May 2011, won the coveted “Best Hotel in France” and “Best Hotel in Europe” awards at the World Travel Awards ceremony held in Antalya, Turkey, on September 2.
For 18 years, the World Travel Awards have been a must-attend event in the global tourism industry, bringing together the world’s leading tourism professionals. 213,000 travel agencies, tour operators and tourism organizations in 160 countries, reward excellence in all sectors of travel and tourism.
Le Bristol has been crowned this year with two of the most prestigious awards, among 21 nominees in the “Best Hotel in Europe” category and 13 nominees in the “Best Hotel in France” category.
A founding member of the Comité Colbert, an association of 75 French luxury houses founded in 1954, Le Bristol Paris is the only European heritage palace in Paris, having belonged to just two families since it opened in 1925.
Thanks to the exceptional financial support of the Oetker Group, since 2009 Le Bristol has launched a major renovation program worth over 100 million euros, enabling the creation of numerous projects: the renovation of the hotel’s rooms and suites in 2011, the creation of two new signature suites, the expansion of the French-style spa with the La Prairie brand, exclusive to Paris, and the reopening of the three-star gourmet restaurant.
