For this year’s Venice Biennale, the HUGO BOSS ready-to-wear group will be the main partner of the US Pavilion – a partnership renewed for the 5th consecutive year.

The organization of this new American Pavilion is entrusted to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and is accredited by Lisa Freiman, Chair of the Contemporary Art Department.

This year, artist duo Allora & Calzadilla will bring a very American vision to the Venice Biennale. The company has maintained strong links with Jennifer Allora and Guilermo Calzadilla since their nomination for the HUGO BOSS PRIZE in 2006. Allora & Calzadilla: “We are very grateful to HUGO BOSS for this support. After competing for the HUGO BOSS Prize in 2006, we are very happy to receive this support again.”

According to Hjördis Kettenbach, President of Cultural Affairs at HUGO BOSS: “Contemporary art has become an essential and integral part of our corporate culture. In 2011, for the fifth consecutive year, HUGO BOSS will be a major partner of the Biennale. This year, we are even more delighted to support the US Pavilion project – in particular with Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla, whose work we know and appreciate. We have every reason to be excited at the prospect of a new presentation of their work and their fresh interpretation of the modern world.”
