To present his new “Summer of Love” collection, inspired by flower power, designer Christophe Guillarmé chose the Balajo, the legendary Parisian dance hall.
Christophe Guillarmé once again charmed the audience in front of a host of celebrities, including singer Jeane Manson, Blandine Bellavoir (Maison close on Canal+), singer Mikelangelo Loconte (Mozart Opéra Rock) and actresses Lola Dewaere and Karine Dupray.
A collection featuring silk and crystal flower embroidery in a couture spirit, for spectacular gowns, notably for the finale where the sublime Rachel Legrain Trapani, Miss France 2007, closed the presentation in a maxi dress in dark fuchsia silk chiffon, the bust fully pleated and embroidered with jeweled flowers.
The collection ranges from virginal white shaded with fuchsia pink and embroidered with peacock feathers or hydrangea motifs.
Desert-like shades of sand and gold offset the opulence of pistil-inspired organza tube embroidery. Several strapless dresses playing with origami and asymmetrical straps in rhinestone guipure rounded off a wardrobe that oscillated between Zen Garden and luxuriance.
Christophe’s ultra-feminine style was once again reflected in a bohemian spirit.
Also of note was the young actress Célyne Durand, who delighted photographers in an asymmetrical draped dress in black tulle and satin, embroidered with gold glass beads. Celebrated choreographer Mia Frye dazzled in a lavender amber chiffon empire-waist gown, presenting her designer friend’s first fragrance “Le Tapis Rouge de Christophe Guillarmé”.
A fashion show with a hippy chic ambiance, mixed with the freshness and naturalness of the 60’s, tinged with rock’n’roll.
For the evening, Fleurs d’Auteuil’s decorations enhanced the designer’s pieces with arums, black magic orchids and gold leaves embellished with white feathers.
