Notes: Swedish elegance, mingled with vintage from the 30s to the 60s.

To remember: Scarves on the head, baba cool glasses. Long skirts, crinolines and an assortment of colors that’s discreet without being self-effacing.
Forget it: Socks in sandals, a trend I wish we’d stopped seeing. Alas, this season it was delicate socks in rather voluminous shoes that paraded at Rochas.
Beauty: Blue eyes, scarves on the head, buns everywhere.
In the end: Drawing on his Swedish roots, Marco Zanini brought back adorable crinolines, glamorous dresses and very up-to-date prints. Vintage-new resonated with every guest, and the smiles on the editors’ faces were proof that the Zanini recipe has produced a highly desirable collection.

Seen in the audience: Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington and Candy Pratts-Price on one side, Anna Dello Russo on the other, Susan Tabak arriving a few minutes before the start of the show. Bloggers present: The Sartorialist and Garance Doré in the front row, the Clothes Whisperer (but I’m cheating for her, we went together).
