Lanvin for H&M

After a series of videos arousing curiosity about its new “haute couture” collaboration, H&M put an end to the suspense last Thursday by confirming the name of Lanvin. Alber Elbaz, the label’s artistic director, succeeds Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Sonia Rykiel. Through this partnership, Lanvin wishes above all to give the Swedish giant a luxurious imprint, far more than to offer a mass-market collection. And the comments of Margareta van den Bosh, artistic advisor for H&M, only serve to whet our appetites: “It’s a very Lanvin collection, with very elaborate cuts, emphasizing shapes and details, for both women and men.”

To make sure you don’t miss out on what we already consider to be the fashion event of the autumn, visit H&M’s website on November 2 to discover the “Lanvin for H&M” capsule collection via a never-before-seen film. After that, we’ll have to wait patiently for three weeks, time we can use wisely to spot the most beautiful pieces, which we’ll be rushing to buy on November 23 in one of the 200 H&M stores around the world.
