Under the sun in the courtyard of the Royal Park, models play polo, bistro tables and racks are set up in the garden. The EHUD presentation at Tranoi was quite summery.
EHUD is a ready-to-wear brand for men based in Amsterdam
Ehud Joseph has a very cosmopolitan background. Born in Israel, he grew up in New Zealand, where he studied fine arts and started his own men’s label in 1999. In 2001, the designer presented his first collection at the very first New Zealand Fashion Week. In 2002, he packed his bags and left to study in London at Central Saint Martins, from which he graduated in 2006. After working for different companies and brands, he decided to launch his own in 2009.
The traditional and contemporary codes of the costume are mixed. High waist, tapered pants, loose shorts, large and resistant windbreaker… the EHUD man of spring summer 2011 will be able to go to work with ease, spend a sporty and cocooning weekend or face the bad weather without worrying.
This casual yet tailoring silhouette with a casual adventurer vibe is highlighted by pale grays, blues and beiges in past tones. This range of colors expresses a certain tranquility. At the same time, the navy blue, warm blue and white give energy to the whole.
Through classic volumes, casual cottons, soft and noble materials such as linen/silk or linen/wool blends. The designer offers us a game of details and cuts giving a singularity to each piece. The versatility of some of them as the quilted coat, allows to have fun with it, passed from bomber to vest for example.
The shirts are worn under a mesh vest reminiscent of a suit jacket.
As for the suit jacket itself, it closes like a Perfecto.
The suit offers a gradient from blue to gray where thin edges accentuate collars and pockets.
This collection is distinguished by its balance between subtle casualness and elegance as well as obvious comfort.
A talent to follow, for a casual and refined wardrobe.
