The perfect alliance of two precious stones, the depth of an unparalleled green blending with the delicacy of a woman’s best friend, such could be the definition of the association between Muzo International and the House of Chopard.
Muzo? In Paris, only a few insiders know the name. But in Colombia, it is on everyone’s lips because Muzo is the largest emerald mine in the world, renowned for providing high quality gems. Since 2009, the famous mine is managed by Muzo International.
And when Muzo International joins forces with the House of Chopard in the most glamorous place on the planet, the result is an unforgettable evening on the theme of “emerald green”, definitely allowing the House of Chopard, official partner of the Cannes Film Festival, to win the 2010 Palme d’Or for exceptional events. The magnificent terrace of the Chopard Lounge, on the 7th floor of the Hotel Martinez, was the setting for Chopard and Muzo International’s “Green Party” on May 19, 2010. The terrace, transformed into a dense, verdant jungle, was also home to some of Muzo International’s most beautiful stones. It is in this enchanting setting that guests were able to enjoy a refined menu, specially designed for the occasion and which delighted more than one palate: multicolored emulsion of fresh green vegetables with olive oil and parmesan shavings, risotto with green asparagus tips or shrimp and avocado pulp with Indian flavors while savoring Boizel champagnes as well as the wines of the Châteaux de Cayx, or while sipping delicious Grey Goose cocktails
From the invitation card, the tone was set with a touch of humor on a small green card:“Green could be the lucky color for someone“, a fabulous surprise was going to delight the assembly. At 11pm, Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, accompanied by Gilles Haumont, Managing Director of Muzo International, drew the lucky winner who received from Muzo International a beautiful 2 carat brilliant cut emerald.
Numerous personalities came to discover these marvels. Perfectly in line with the theme of the evening, models Eugenia Silva and Julia Saner competed with grace and elegance and wore creations set with emeralds. Mischa Barton was particularly beautiful in her strapless dress cut in boa print. Olivier Martinez, always so attractive, had come to admire the most beautiful pieces.
The eyes of many guests, dazzled by so much glamour and beauty, were transformed, for one evening, into magnificent emeralds! I’m still fizzing…
