Summer 2010 will be characterized by the great return of the nude trend enhanced by a warm color: coral.
The press has even called coral the « new red », which shows how orange colors are making their mark on our lips this summer.
Advice and product selection:
The coral brings a fresh touch to our face, gives a good look and allows to restore the brightness to the most dull complexion. It is the ideal color to brighten up the face and have a more luminous skin. To avoid turning into a clementine, only certain parts of the face should be made up in coral. So we choose between lipstick, blush and eyeshadow (and we keep a light hand on the foundation.). It is of course possible to make up two elements of the face with the same shade as long as it is discreet.
For a « peachy » skin…
After applying a very light layer of foundation (if you can’t live without it), we use a large brush to apply a veil of luminous coral-colored powder to our face. You can apply the powder only in the hollow of the cheeks to refine the shape of the face.

Paul & Joe Powder, 22 €.
For a sparkling look…
You should go for orange shadows with golden highlights or very light glitter, but with transparency. There’s nothing worse than applying a flashy orange color on your eyelids (unless you want to get a 80’s look, or to celebrate Halloween…).
Prism Again! Eyes, Givenchy, 44 €.
For fruity lips…
Coral goes very well with the nude trend so take advantage of it! After applying a bit of peach blush, you can wear a pronounced coral lipstick or for a more natural result an orange gloss that will give your lips some pep.
Lacquered lipstick n°201 Make Up For Ever €18
For tangy nails…
Let yourself be tempted by a coral nail polish or even orange for the provocative and explosive side of this color. With the nail polish we let go and enjoy the vast choice of acidulous colors of this summer. From lemon yellow to orange-red, anything goes.
Nail polish OPI n°888 € 12
