Jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez signs her first shoe collection in collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti.
At just 22 years of age, Delfina Delettrez (from the 4th generation of the Fendi family) is what you might call the Tim Burton of jewelry. When we say Tim Burton, we obviously think of the filmmaker’s dark side, with its morbid, if not downright gloomy, inclinations.
A diamond-studded skeleton of a hand as a cuff, a spider embracing the handle or a scorpion climbing up the finger – we can imagine that the fairy tales Delfina read as a child, from which she says she drew her inspiration, must not have been all restful.
Between darkness and poetry, Delfina Delettrez lends a fantastical allure to haute joaillerie. Of course, when it comes to a collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti, the Italian master of footwear, we can only expect marvels.
We find strange claws encircling the vertiginous heels of a classic leather pump, or ballerinas riddled with strange pairs of eyes à la Picasso.
A collection of five pieces, combining wonderfully the slightly provocative chic of Zanotti and the fairy touch of Delettrez. You will have to wait until next July to have Delfina on your feet, whose collection for Giuseppe Zanotti will be available in most concept stores around the world.
