AMBER VALLETTA ATTENDS 2023 MET GALA WEARING KARL LAGERFELD COUTURE
On Monday, May 1, supermodel, actress and activist Amber Valletta attended The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2023 Met Gala, also known as The Costume Institute Benefit, wearing KARL LAGERFELD couture.
The gown was custom created by KARL LAGERFELD Design Director Hun Kim. In consultation together with Amber, they were inspired by the fan accessory that Karl Lagerfeld was known to always carry with him in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
The body of the gown features an elegant fan-shaped top and skirt, with deep cut-outs on the waist for a feminine silhouette. The sunburst-style design is crafted from pleated white mesh, with black beaded over-pleats. A detachable, pleated silk-satin cape adds to the goddess-like effect.
