RESTAURANT & BAR

Nobu’s eponymous restaurant offers al fresco dining from the 23rd floor, with a private dining room, the Nobu Bar and our exclusive sushi bar – the best place in the hotel to watch the masters at work.
Nobu’s classic dishes sit alongside specials inspired by local produce and Catalonia’s rich gastronomic tradition. Signature cocktails are available before and after dinner, with creations inspired by the region.

On the lobby level, the Kozara and its terrace offer casual dining with light fare enhanced by a Nobu touch. The Lobby Corner and Terrace, our café and coworking area, feature hands-free control via the Nobu app.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Designed by the New York-based Rockwell Group, which has been involved in the creation of Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, Nobu Downtown New York and Nobu Doha.
The Rockwell Group was inspired by iconic Catalan design, such as the mosaics (trencadís) in Gaudí’s Parc Güell, and traditional Japanese craftsmanship, such as Kintsugi.

Kintsugi is a Japanese art form that involves taking broken pottery and assembling the broken pieces with gold. Similarly, Gaudi’s work in Barcelona used broken pottery to create colorful tiles on his buildings.

This technique was used to inspire the restaurant’s design, combining traditional broken Japanese pottery in a Gaudi-like application on the bar’s walls and ceilings. The rooms are minimally designed, with warm woods and stones, making the palette light and airy.

The hotel entrance: its design is inspired by a torii, a traditional Japanese gate most often found at the entrance to or inside a Shinto shrine (Shintoism is the indigenous faith of Japanese culture), where it symbolically marks the transition between the mundane and the sacred.

The quiet entrance marks the boundary between the hotel and the street, with a garden of tall bamboo trees behind a wall inspired by clay.

The double-height lobby is composed of textured limestone and wood. The exterior screen extends inside to create porosity between exterior and interior.
A large work of art behind the check-in counter features a spectacular brushstroke, a Nobu touchstone.
